How to Trade In?

Steps For Online Trade-in

  • Step 1

    Select the device you want to purchase and click Start Trade In.

  • Step 2

    Answer a few questions about your device’s current condition and get an instant rebate at check out.

  • Step 3

    Customer received order confirmation and guidelines to prepare device for trade in.

  • Step 4

    Visit the store for a secondary diagnostic, to confirm the final trade in value.

  • Step 5

    Agree to the final trade-in value and hand over your device.

  • Step 6

    Pick up your new device and enjoy.

Steps For Retail Trade-in

  • Step 1

    Visit Urban Republic outlets with your device.

  • Step 2

    Our Urbanista will diagnose the device before trading in.

  • Step 3

    Use your trade-in value as instant credit toward a new device.

Important Things to Do Before Trading In Your Device

  • Remove all personal information from your old device by signing out of iCloud, iTunes, and the App Store.
  • Remove your old device from your list of trusted devices.
  • Turn off "Find My [Device]" on your Apple device.
  • Go to Settings, tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. If "Find My [Device]" is turned on, you may need to enter your Apple ID and password.
  • Remove your personal information from your old device and sign out of accounts, such as Google.
  • Erase all content and settings on your smartphone or tablet.

How to trade-in?

Trade in an eligible device at any Urban Republic outlet. For trade-ins in store, receive instant credit for your new purchase, instant credit to be used on the same receipt.

Selected smartphones and tablets are eligible for trade-in, depending on the device, model, manufacturer, and condition.For outlet trade-in prices, please refer to the full list above.

Retail Trade-In FAQ

Simply pass your smartphone or tablet to our Urbanista. If you agree with the quoted trade-in value of your device, you must use the credited trade-in value on the same receipt.

Retail Trade In T&C

  • All devices will undergo a thorough inspection before being accepted for trade-in.
  • Price for "cracked-screen" devices will be provided on the crew has perform inspection.
  • Kindly take note that price may differ from the table above, depending on the extent of damage.
  • Trade-in device must be able to be powered on or it will not be accepted.
  • Trade-in devices must remove SIM or Find My [Device] or Google ID lock before passing it over for inspection.
  • Customer may trade in their device to purchase any item from the Retail Outlet: iPhones, iPod, Mac, Apple Watch, Android Phones, Audio devices, Beats or Accessories.
  • Customers are only required to bring in their smartphone or tablet. The box and cable aren't required.
  • Customers are advised to ensure all data has been backed up before bringing the device in for trade-in.
  • Up to 5 devices are allowed for trade-in to purchase one single item.
  • Trade-in is stackable with in-store promotions.
  • Urban Republic reserves the right to amend the terms and condition at any time without prior notice.

Online Trade-In FAQ

  • Customer will do self evaluation of the device condition online and an estimated trade-in price will be quoted.
  • If customer agrees with the quoted price, the amount will be directly deducted at checkout.
  • All devices will undergo a thorough second inspection at a Urban Republic outlet before being accepted for trade-in.
  • Price for second inspection may differ based on the actual device condition.
  • Trade-in device must be able to be powered on or it will not be accepted.
  • Trade-in device must not be carrier-locked.
  • Trade-in device must remove SIM or Find My [device] or Google ID lock before passing it over for inspection.
  • Customer may trade in their current device to purchase any item from the following product ranges on the Urban Republic Online Store: iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
  • Customer is only required to bring in their smartphone or tablet for trade-in. The device's box and charging cable are not required.
  • Customer is advised to ensure all data has been backed up before bringing their current device in for trade-in.
  • Only one (1) device is allowed for trade-in for every online transaction.
  • Customer cannot change the pick-up location once their order is confirmed.
  • Trade-in discount is stackable with other in-store promotions.
  • Urban Republic reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
